Over more than two decades, hundreds of people have joined us to play Euchre. Some play just a few times or for a short while. Others stick around for a few years, eventually moving out of the area, moving in with a partner, or just moving on to other things. Then there are those players who sit at our tables year after year, calling trump, making loners, getting set, winning, and losing. They are the patriarchs and matriarchs of our Euchre family.

The members of the Euchre Club of Chicago Hall of Fame form a very diverse group. They come from different backgrounds, possess unique personalities, employ distinct styles of play, and have made various types of contributions to our club. But they all share a few very important traits. Our ECC Hall of Famers can be described as always:

• Exhibiting great sportsmanship
• Being kind and courteous to other players
• Extending a warm welcome to newcomers
• Showing a willingness to pitch in and help the club when needed

In other words, we all enjoy playing cards with our Hall of Fame members.

Hall of Fame nominations are accepted from the general membership at any time. The board of directors votes to select inductees from the pool of nominees every June. If you would like to nominate a player, see any board member or email euchrechicago@yahoo.com
