The TOC is an individual, double elimination tournament. Unlike our usual play, points don't matter in the TOC -- only wins or losses. The number of games is unlimited. As long as you lose no more than 1 game, you get to keep playing for a chance at the TOC cash prizes! You'll be seated for game 1 according to your current average. Seating for subsequent games will be announced by your tournament directors. There is no predetermined rotaion as we never know how many players will drop out each round.

Am I eligible to play?
All Active ECC Members are eligible to play. Active Member Status is defined as having paid your annual dues for the 2011-2012 play season and having played at least 3 times since July 1, 2011. If you need more plays to attend, you still have 7 play opportunities before the tournament. If you're unsure of your # of plays, just ask a board member or email euchrechicago@yahoo.com.

What's the cost? Should I bring anything?
The TOC X is free to all ECC Active Members. Since we have a potluck with the tournament, we do ask everyone to bring a dish or snacks to share with the group. There will also be bottomless cups of beer provided for the low cost of $10 by our friends at Charlie's.

What if I lose 2 early games?
No worries, if you rack up 2 losses during the 1st 3 rounds, you win an entry to the 2nd chance tournament -- The Paul Zehren Invitational or PZI!

What are the prizes?
The TOC pays cash prizes for the last 4 remaining players!

4th - $50
3rd - $75
2nd - $100
1st - $150

Even the PZI pays cash prizes!

2nd - $20
1st - $40

Registration is easy! Just sign up with any director at any of our play venues or email euchrechicago@yahoo.com. Please note that an accurate player count is very important for this type of tournament to run smoothly. Please keep us informed if your plans change at any time. Just email euchrechicago@yahoo.com.
